Lights On! 2018

Join us as we light up the plaza to kick off the holiday season. The ceremony will be led and hosted by Salt Lake City and Mayor Biskupski.

At 5:30 pm, the ceremony will illuminate over 350,000 lights, including our 60 foot tree. Our holiday lights will be glowing green this season with renewable energy supported by customers from Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky Renewable Energy Program.

 

Event is from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

5:30 PM - Lights on!

6:00 PM - American Ice Theatre performance

 

The event will include fun holiday music by DJ Jon Smith, lights, a hygiene kit drive to support The Utah Refugee Connection, sponsor booths, an ice skating show by American Ice Theatre of Utah, Santa Claus, face painting, and much more! American Ice Theatre of Utah skaters will stay on the ice after the performance to offer little tips on basic skating. AIT of Utah will also be hosting a hygiene kit drive during the event. Items needed for the hygiene kits include:

Toothpaste

Toothbrushes

Deodorant

Bar Soap

A box of at least 30 Maxi-Pads

A pack of 10 Razors

A 6 pack of Toilet Paper

Reusable Shopping Bags
