Join us as we light up the plaza to kick off the holiday season. The ceremony will be led and hosted by Salt Lake City and Mayor Biskupski. At 5:30 pm, the ceremony will illuminate over 350,000 lights, including our 60 foot tree. Our holiday lights will be glowing green this season with renewable energy supported by customers from Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky Renewable Energy Program.
Event is from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

The event will include fun holiday music by DJ Jon Smith, lights, a warm coat drive to benefit The Road Home, sponsor booths, an ice skating show by American Ice Theatre of Utah, Santa Claus, face painting, and much more! Best of all: it's FREE to attend the event. Ice Skating Rink admission applies. Please visit thegallivancenter.com/ice-skating for admission price details.
American Ice Theatre of Utah skaters will stay on the ice after the performance to offer little tips on basic skating. AIT of Utah will also be hosting a coat drive during the event.
