Five Years of Food Truck Thursdays Fun at the Gallivan Center!

You may have thought it was just a fad but food trucks are here to stay!  The Gallivan Center’s Food Truck Thursdays event is in its fifth year and is still going strong.  Small and infrequent in its inception, Food Truck Thursdays has grown to be a popular, year-round event at the Gallivan Center and much looked forward to each week with downtown patrons.

“I come to Food Truck Thursdays almost every week,” said Steven Magleby, an employee in the One Utah Center building downtown.  “I really like the variety of trucks each week.”

Talitha Day, Director of Gallivan and City Events, says, “Food Truck Thursdays is one of my favorite events!    We started 5 years ago in April, not realizing what a popular event it would be.  It’s fun to watch downtown business employees appear like ants, all moving toward Gallivan Avenue.   In the summer we add live music.  If you haven’t tried it, you are missing a fun experience!”
